(CNN) — Russia’s top diplomat took a shot at the Western and Arab attempts to bring democratic change to Syria Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov singled out the Friends of the Syrian People, a coalition of dozens of nations led by the United States and the Arab League calling for tough action against the Damascus regime.

“There are outside forces that are not interested in the success of the current U.N. Security Council efforts,” Lavrov told reporters. “They are trying everything possible to substitute the Security Council with various unofficial formats such as the ‘Friends of Syria’ or some other forms.

“And (they are trying), with everything possible, to influence the Syrian opposition so that it doesn’t work with the government in maintaining a cease-fire and setting up future dialogue.”

Lavrov made the remarks as monitors tried to observe a U.N.-backed cease-fire that was supposed to have been in effect since Thursday.

They are reviewing the government and opposition forces’ adherence to U.N. envoy Kofi Annan’s six-point peace plan, which calls for a halt in violence, humanitarian access and an “inclusive Syrian-led political process.”

Annan’s effort is supported by the Syrian regime, Russia, China, the United States, Turkey and the Arab world.

Despite a relative drop-off in reported deaths immediately after the Thursday cease-fire deadline, violence has persisted in Syria. At least 53 people were found dead across the country Tuesday, the opposition Local Coordination Committees of Syria said.

Most of those slain were found in Idlib province and other deaths occurred in Homs, Daraa and Damascus.

Abu Faris, an activist in the volatile city of Homs, told CNN that the military is firing rockets and mortars at the Homs neighborhoods of Khalidya and al Bayda.

“Today we have witnessed some of the worst attacks on Khalidya,” he said. “It is absolutely unbearable.”

The state-run Syrian Arab News Agency has consistently blamed “armed terrorist groups” for the violence and said aggression by the groups had “hysterically escalated” since the start of the cease-fire. But activist groups every day have cited killings by government security forces.

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice said Monday that President Bashar al-Assad did agree to the plan, and it largely held “for a couple of days.” But the shelling of the city of Homs, for example, resumed Saturday and has persisted, she said.

Syria has been engulfed in violence for 13 months as a national uprising spread after the government began cracking down on peaceful protests. The United Nations estimates at least 9,000 people have died since the protests began, while others put the death toll at more than 11,000.

CNN cannot independently verify reports of violence and deaths, as the government has severely restricted access by international media.

The United States and the United Nations have slammed the crackdown, and there have been international calls for al-Assad to leave office.

Russia, long a staunch ally of Syria, and China have thwarted tough Security Council action against Damascus, including calls for the president to step down.

After those countries vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution in February, the United States, Arab nations, Turkey and other groups formed Friends of the Syrian People, an initiative to bring democratic change to the nation.

The group backs the efforts of the Syrian National Council — an opposition movement with strong backing among Syrian activists and citizens — and other opposition groups to pursue a democratic system.

Representatives from one opposition group, the National Coordination Committee for Democratic Change, visited Russia Tuesday.

The group’s leader, Hasan Abdul Azim, said the Annan plan is the “last chance” for peace in Syria, Russian media reported. He is quoted as saying that the “Syrian dialogue needs” help from international groups such as the United Nations and the Arab League.

Andrew Tabler, a Syria expert at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, describes the coordination committee, based in Syria, as an “older opposition” that doesn’t have the mass grass-roots and youth support of the Syrian National Council.

However, he said, “this is the established opposition the regime would rather dialogue with.”

Annan will be in Qatar Tuesday to participate in an Arab League meeting on Syria, said his spokesman, Ahmad Fawzi.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Moallem “will pay a working visit to China” Wednesday at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, China’s state-run Xinhua news agency said.

But now Jennifer Aniston has come forward and stated that even though she would not say no to a huge-screen adaptation of Buddies, she thinks a movie version ‘doesn’t make sense’.

The 43-year-old actress, who became a worldwide star playing Rachel Green in the hit sitcom from 1994 to 2004, said she doesn’t see how a film of the programme would perform.

Speaking about the show – which also starred Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt Le Blanc and Matthew Perry – Jennifer said: ‘I can not envision how you would do it, unless you did it years from now. I cannot picture what that would be. It is not regular.

‘Friends is in your living space – Friends is not in a movie theatre. It doesn’t make sense to me. I consider it would be going against its authentic self.’

She added in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: ‘They’re absolutely, 100 per cent together. They have a lot more kids!

DEXTER -  “The FBI estimates that there are much less than 50 serial killers active in the United States right now. I have to say that following the magnificent “Return to Sender” I was actually disappointed with what “Circle of Friends” had to supply, I understand that they can’t all be as tense, satisfying and close to to the edge as the last episode but I was hoping items had moved up a gear following all of the developments last week, lets don’t forget this is 7 episodes now and we nevertheless haven’t met (officially) the Ice Truck Killer.

Offered last weeks extremely close call Dexter has clearly decided that to kill any person once more so soon would probably not be in his very best interests, perhaps he has decided that to kill anyone other than the Ice Truck Killer would be a bad move, as he wants to guarantee that his play mate is nicely and definitely out the picture as he can’t afford anymore pricey slip-ups.  This is exactly where Dexter’s problem lay this week, he had regarded killing again, Jeremy Downs is a kid Dexter let go previously believing that the individual he killed deserved it, proved wrong Dexter is just taking into consideration his possibilities when Jeremy is busted and sent to prison. Not extended following that Deb and Batista think they have identified the Ice Truck Killer in Neil Perry, a taxidermist with a history of mental illness, arrested and interviewed he admits to every little thing Dexter’s “Circle of Friends” or play mates as they are occasionally described are dwindling.

One thing does not sit appropriate though, Dexter has observed the work of the Ice Truck Killer, a person who is a correct expert, a doctor maybe?  Medical doctor Rudy, who’s seeking after Tucci and Deb is just about to ask on a date…..Yeah, I spilt the beans, he’s the Ice Truck Killer, they had been sort of spilt last time round but just in case you missed it there you go. Of course non of them know that about Rudy yet, he’s just Deb’s wonderful new boyfriend that Dexter doesn’t truly want to know but is forced to hear about.

This wasn’t an episode that I was overly impressed with but it did have it is moments. This is the episode where we are 1st introduced to Paul Bennett (Mark Pellegrino, Lost’s Jacob) the abusive, violent tempered and lately paroled ex husband of Rita. Dexter asks her when did you first notice he had a dark side? She replies by telling Dexter that she constantly sort of knew and didn’t feel she was worth something more until she met Dexter. Funny as Dexter says “I have a dark side to” Rita laughs and shrugs off such a suggestion saying “your not like Paul, you don’t hurt people”, Dexter comes back with “Innocent people, I don’t hurt innocent people” a fantastic little line with Dexter
confessing in someway that he does have a dark passenger, possibly trying to make Rita conscious of who he is

I’m actually starting to take pleasure in Doakes too, In “Circle of Friends” Dexter is paying certain focus to a dead body going more than it in his usual careful manner rudely interrupted by Doakes who says “did you get a hard on there Morgan?”. They should have kept does in the show for the quirky tiny a single liners if something. As well Doakes is the only person who has genuinely ever suspected Dexter of something other than Quinn in season five, for me though Desmond Harrington does not have really the exact same presence on the screen as Erik King. Suspicion of odd behaviour is normally pointed in the direction of Masuka, yet another funny character who was this week asked to offer his finger prints by Deb who suggested that he my be the The Ice Truck Killer.

I do not really have a great deal to say on this episode, I felt it was extremely much about going through the motions, issues will no doubt commence to get a lot more fascinating from here in relation to the Ice Truck Killer, and the return of Paul Bennett. Dexter can by no means genuinely fail for me even though and I can’t wait to get on with the rest of the 1st season.

A tearful Denise stated: ‘I just want to say, this is going to be actually hard for me… My family members produced a choice that we would speak about this these days. Tim and I separated some time ago.

‘So I’m not getting an affair, we have been living our personal lives for some time now.’

She added: ‘I just wanted to thank everyone. Tim and I feel a sense of relief that we don’t have to hide this any longer. We’ve actually grow to be much better buddies given that we’ve produced the selection but we wanted to have Christmas with the household without having telling anybody.

‘We’re all just going to move forward as a family members. Tim and I are nevertheless going to be co-parents (to Matthew, 22, and Louis, ten) and we adore each other quite a lot.’

The pair were pictured together outside the hotel which is apparently the very same spot exactly where they have been carrying out an eight-month affair.

Denise left on Tuesday morning for a brief look on This Morning before joining her colleagues in the nearby Loose Women studios.

He is accused of stealing the cash from FM Conway, a construction business based in Dartford, Kent, in 2009.

The case was adjourned until May.

Meanwhile, in 2004, Denise admitted getting an affair with Television studio carpenter Steve Murray.

But in her ­autobiography she said she had repaired her marriage following that connection.

Denise induced a stir in the CBB residence with her erratic behaviour and clashes with Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen.

After leaving the house, Michael revealed: ‘She supplied to sleep with me a number of occasions. She just kept attempting.’

Denise hit back later saying she was happily married.

‘Even at 53, I do not go without having my provides. Why, when I have a husband and young children watching at home, would I beg him for sex?’
